The Midlife Nomad - From Tree To Lumber

Hi all,

An amazing day, today we turned the average tree into usable wood, yes, 4 by 2's, 2 by 2 and 1 by 6's, in carpentry terms. In Canada, you can only fell a tree was its dead, struck by lightning etc. In previous days we harvested a few trees and took them to the saw mill ready for stripping and cutting into size.

The sequence below expresses the sequence from first place the tree on the saw to the final result.

The Midlife Nomad - Placing to tree onto the sawmill

The Midlife Nomad - The first cut

The Midlife Nomad - Setting up the saw

The Midlife Nomad - Cutting through the log

The Midlife Nomad - The final results - impressive

Happy travels, living life and new experiences
