The Midlife Nomad - From Tree To Lumber

Hi all,

An amazing day, today we turned the average tree into usable wood, yes, 4 by 2's, 2 by 2 and 1 by 6's, in carpentry terms. In Canada, you can only fell a tree was its dead, struck by lightning etc. In previous days we harvested a few trees and took them to the saw mill ready for stripping and cutting into size. 

The sequence below expresses the sequence from first place the tree on the saw to the final result.

The Midlife Nomad - Building something worthwhile

Hi all,

There is something in building a creation from a piece of paper into reality? I think we all have the inner desire to leave behind a legacy and feel worthwhile. The project we started wasn't equivalent to the Egyptian pyramid, but the sense of satisfaction in the end was incredible
